This large, substantial fireplace in Noir de Mazy and Verde Antico marble was made at the end of the 19th century, ca.1870-1875. The photo shows the fireplace in the original state, taken just before dismantling. The fireplace is complete and in very good condition. The double moulded shelf is resting on a detailed frieze, centered by a panel and alternating fluted bossed details echoed on the scrolled corbels. The fireplace-opening is also framed by generous Verde Antico marble. Verde Antico panelled jambs on sturdy footblocks. Will be delivered with old marble floortiles, Noir de Mazy or/and Carrara.
