Charming gouache landscape representing a road at Chinon in the department of Indre-et-Loire. Executed in gouache with a very luminous rendering and very fresh colors. Located "Une route à Chinon", dated 1935 and signed lower left. On the back, a label from the Parisian framer. Dimensions: 25.5 cm x 32 cm work 29.5 cm x 38 cm work with its frame The artist is referenced in Bénézit. His artistic career is marked by numerous exhibitions, at the Salon des Indépendants from 1921 to 1949, at the Salon de Lyon from 1921 to 1925, at the Salon d'hiver in Paris from 1944 to 1946. He also exhibited at the Georges Petit gallery in 1909 and 1933. Very good condition. Entirely original, never deframed with its period background paper. Very light wear on the edge of the frame.
