"Jb Pegot-ogier, Woman Reading"
Very beautiful oil on cardboard mounted on canvas by this great artist from Brittany, student of Théophile Deyrolle and Alfred Guillou, from the Concarneau group, influenced by the Pont-Aven School. He will paint in a post-impressionist vein from 1900. Here he represents a woman lying on the grass reading in an impressionist touch. This is most likely his wife, Marie-Joséphine, known as "Le Lippon", whom he frequently took as a model.
