It was made in 1895 by the workshop of Mikhaïl Neviadomski in Vilnius, Lithuania, which was then part of the Russian Empire.
It is delicately painted with tempera on a wooden panel whose background is gilded with leaf. The borders and halos are enriched with a very finely chiseled and embossed vermeil covering.
It bears the following hallmarks:
1/ Russian silver title "84" (875 thousandths).
2/ Control mark of the city of Vilnius (Lithuania).
3/ Hallmark of the master goldsmith (in Cyrillic) Mikhaïl Neviadomski (active from 1886 to 1900).
4/ Date 1895.
Splendid collector's item in perfect state of conservation. Small wear to the gilding and cracks. I
