The young woman has an ornate hairstyle of intertwined braids held by a headband. With her arms crossed over her chest, she holds an antique-style draped dress. This remarkable terracotta sculpted with a naturally aged painted patina gives it a lot of life.
It rests on a round molded pedestal. This sculpture full of movement after Jean-Antoine Houdon, is characteristic of the modernity that the latter brought from the 18th century in the statuary and the execution of his sculptures with faces of extreme precision and very great realism.
