"Mirror Decorated With A Leaf Of Repoussé Silver, 19th Century Argentinian Work. "
lovely little mirror decorated with a leaf of solid silver (touchstone tested), on a solid wood frame. It is a Latin American work, probably traditional Argentinian, which perpetuated the decorative tradition of the Renaissance in the 19th century. The decor bears the coats of arms of Aragon and Castile, alongside the columns of Hercules, symbols of the triumphant Spanish monarchy in the 15th century. The background has been changed.
