Souvenir of the Grand Tour.
Beautiful bronze sculpture with medal patina representing Hermes, god of travelers, resting, seated on a Turquin blue marble rock (light alterations).
After the sculpture discovered during the excavations of the Villa of the Papyri in Herculaneum in 1758 and today preserved in the National Archaeological Museum of Naples (specialists agree that it is a Roman copy from the 1st century AD based on a Greek bronze from the 3rd century BC).
