"Buffet Late 16th Century."
This walnut piece of furniture opens with four doors on the front and dates from the end of the 16th century. It is flanked on either side by a large engaged column whose base is ringed and the top topped with a capital made of a frieze of eggs. The molded doors are fitted with flat strip panels, they are supported by long metal pins fixed to the inside. It rests on a quadrangular base supported by turned legs. The sides have four flat panels. The base as well as the top are surrounded by a molded cornice. Like many pieces of furniture from this period, this one has undergone some restoration here and there. Dimensions, height 169 cm, width 107 cm, depth 44 cm.
