Art Nouveau Dressing Table / Screen With Mirrors With Marquetry, 1901

Exceptional dressing / vanity polyptych folding screen (5 panels). Mahogany structure with inlays / marquetry of different essences with floral motifs. Copper handles, hinges and pulls. 5 panels including 3 with mirrors and 2 with drawers. In very good condition, some marks on the back of the mirrors. Art Nouveau, France, 1901 (date on the back of the central mirror). Attributed to Maison Krieger, founded in 1826 by the brothers Antoine and Nicolas Krieger, who settled in Paris in the Faubourg Saint-Antoine, a district of cabinetmakers. This family business produces both common furniture and luxury furniture. These are above all modern reinterpretations of the styles of Louis XIV, Regency, Louis XV, Transition, Louis XVI, Directory, Empire... Maison Krieger has been rewarded on several occasions, such as at the Universal Exhibitions of 1851 in London and 1855 in Paris.
