Superb set of 4 important Asian armchairs in carved Chinese mahogany wood (toona sinensis). Carved with plant and animal motifs: 3 sculpted bats (symbols of good fortune, happiness and longevity), in the center of each file is a scene depicting cranes/herons in a lake lined with bamboo and where water lilies float .
