Tibet, end of the 19th century - beginning of the 20th century, very pretty Gau (called a Tibetan amulet) in silver and gold metal in a circular shape revealing a glazed earthenware medallion with the effigy of a lama seated in the lotus position. The Gau lid is decorated with the six auspicious Buddhist symbols surrounded by garlands and stylized interlacing in relief. This Gau contains the medallion visible in the openwork part, a piece of fabric as well as sutras in black and red ink on paper. Four small loops arranged in pairs and located around the perimeter made it possible to hang it. The whole is in good condition except for slight normal wear and tear which has no impact due to its age and use. Diameter 9.5 cm. The scale indicator in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a brand known to everyone. Good condition except for slight normal wear and tear.
