Two-function surgeon's tool. Steel and buffalo horn for the handles. Large knife-type blade, the handles open with a brass catch and internal steel spring. This beautiful piece was at the time used for emergency medical analyzes (see Doctor Gaboriau's book: Tools of Health and Medicine of the past on page 42). Dimensions: Length 32cm. Good condition, without defects, no breakage, no missing, we only report slight wear. French work, of good quality, from the mid-19th century.
