Precious reliquary containing remains of the apostle Saint Andrew. Certificate of authenticity from Stefanus Missir archbishop of Irenopolis (present-day Turkey) dating from 1845 The cross is made of rosewood with lemon wood marquetry. The sepulchral-shaped base is made of ebony and marine ivory. Everything is stamped by the cabinetmaker A.Mestayer in Chinon. Very beautiful, meticulous work. From the Louis-Philippe period.
