"Large Athenian Planter In Golden Wood "
Important Athenian planter from the Napoleon III period presenting a wooden structure richly carved in gilded high relief in a Baroque Renaissance style composed of a tripod base topped with cherub heads surrounding a Medici vase with a floral motif, the lower part is punctuated by curved uprights abundantly flowered ending with scrolled feet joined by a spacer forming a finely sculpted rosette. Good condition, stable piece of furniture, to note some usual cracks and gaps. Dimensions: 1.25 m high x 35 cm wide.
