Rare and elegant suite of four Napoleon III ceremonial armchairs from a castle in Anjou (the designation will be provided to the buyer) Quality work to be compared to Michel Victor CRUCHET (1815-1899) presenting large and comfortable seats with structure in solid wood delicately carved, partly openwork and entirely gilded with gold leaf, featuring a rich Regency style decor offering a queen-style backrest with a pattern of flowered shells, foliage scrolls and acanthus leaves, consoles armrests with cuffs and sinuous supports, the fronts are slightly curved, molded and abundantly carved with asymmetrical flowers and rockeries, note that all the rear faces are also richly decorated. The whole resting on arched feet with scrolls punctuated by foliage. The seats and backs are covered in a refined damask velvet from Tassinari et Chatel. Castle furniture offered in very satisfactory condition, beautiful gilding, robust and stable. They each measure 1.10 m high X 72 cm wide X 60 cm deep / Seat height 48 cm
