Large Cuban mahogany box pedestal table. Its triangular base has 3 legs decorated with palmettes and resting on these original casters. Due to its manufacture, support in solid beech and oak, its proportions and its rarity, this piece of furniture comes from the great workshops of the time... It bears a trace of an "unreadable" stamp on 2 lines which may make one think of Jacob Desmalter rue Meslée... A paper stuck on the interior mentioning rue Satory in Versailles.... this type of pedestal table can serve as a table for a dining room. The gray-black grooved marble has been very well glued and reinforced...
