Incredibly luminous, pure and saturated colors with multiple nuances, a very beautiful panoramic format for this magnificent view of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez where the artist was able to capture so well the atmosphere and the dazzling light of summer in Mediterranean. We owe this beautiful work to the painter Maurice Barle, famous in the 1920s for his paintings of the sea and Mediterranean landscapes flooded with sun. The painting is highlighted by its splendid original Montparnasse frame with a gray patina with golden nuances from the Art Deco era in which the painting was created. In the center is affixed a golden cartouche with the name of the artist. The work is signed lower left "M. Barle". Dimensions: 50 cm x 100 cm 67 cm x 117 cm with its frame All in very good condition, ready to hang. The artist, a graduate of the Paris School of Fine Arts and Decorative Arts, is listed at Bénézit.
