Visible at the Galerie Courcelles Antiquités, at 41 rue des Acacias, in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. Jacques Villon (French, born July 31, 1875 in Damville – died June 9, 1963 at age 87), painter and engraver linked to the Cubist movement, is famous for his realistic and abstract works. Born in the Haute-Normandie region, Villon is the brother of Suzanne Duchamp, Raymond Duchamp-Villon and Marcel Duchamp. In 1894 he moved to Paris to study law, but gradually his interest developed in art and he spent the following years making illustrations for newspapers.
