This black leather briefcase dates from the second half of the 19th century, it bears the inscription in capital letters in gold: “Marriage Contract”. The silver or solid silver closure, we have not found a hallmark but there is no trace of wear either, is in the Louis XV style, it is decorated with flowers and arabesques. The interior is lined with a moiré fabric, beige in color, worn on the fold. The lock works but the key that comes with it is not original. Mid-19th century period. Dimensions 26cm x 32cm.
