"Port And Boats By Charles Pecrus "
Exceptional painting painted on wooden panel, by Charles François Pecrus 1826.1907 born in Limoges and died in Paris. Higher School of Fine Arts. Neighbor and friend of Eugène boudin and jongkind. Charles Pecrus painted the Normandy coast. He joined Boudin in Trouville and discovered impressionism. It happens at times in their lives that they paint the same subjects with great similarity in touch and spirit. Pecrus has a brushstroke with more attention to detail. Here very beautiful representation of his art in this painting representing a port and its boats. Very beautiful pictorial technique, beautiful depth and light rendered by the artist! Format of 49x44 cm with its oak and gilding frame and 27x22 cm without. Trace of label on the back of its purchase in 1922 in an auction room. Do not miss ! Superb and very decorative! Sign
