DRC CONGO NKANGI KITIDU KLITSU these crosses produced in northern Angola and southern Congo between the 16th century and the 20th century were crucifixes which served as a symbol and badge of power for tribal leaders and they could also take on a therapeutic function and be brandished during funeral events during which the object was subjected to libations of oil or palm wine.
