Painter of the classical French school born in Toulouse, Gabriel Beringuier (1874-1949) was the student and collaborator of Jean-Paul Laurens and Benjamin-Constant. He executed historical scenes and painted frescoes for churches. He exhibited at the Salon from 1900 to 1925. His painting "Charlotte Corday led to torture" is exhibited at the Nessler museum. Orientalist painter, is the author of the fresco which adorns the council room in Clichy. One of his paintings is in the collections of the Musée des Augustins.
