Object description :

"Hunting For The Relics Of Saint Emiliane - 19th Century"
A notable relic of Saint Emiliana, Virgin and Martyr, is honored in this reliquary which is mainly dedicated to her. It is undoubtedly Saint Emilie, one of the 46 companions of Saint Blandine, martyred in Lyon in 177. Also offered for devotion, on a red velvet background, the color of the Passion, are more modest ex-ossibus relics. of Saints Concord, Pacific who is also a Virgin and Martyr, Christian, Victory, and Fortunate. On the back are six cardinal seals protecting the opening of the reliquary, most probably with the arms of Cardinal Léon Benoit Charles (1826-1894)
The relics housed in this reliquary for sale are offered.
The dimensions of our gilded wood chase are 58 cm long, 45 cm high and 29 cm deep.
