The object is made in a heavy design and has 4 large drawers.
The body is made of solid wood with a rattan veneer, the surface is lacquered and has a rich sheen that emphasizes
the rattan weave.
8 heavy solid brass fittings adorn the front, these rectangular handles are mounted with a spacer and at the top there is another small striking rectangle where the fitting is mounted and which gives the fitting even more character.
At the bottom and on the top brass strips run around the chest of drawers to create a further accent.
The object is from the 1960s and both the brass strips and the handles show signs of wear.
The handles have been polished up, but the patina has not been polished down so they are very beautiful and natural.
There is also a little unevenness on the top plate due to the rattan and a few lighter green spots, but this does not detract from the beauty of the object as a whole.
All drawers and the runners have been cleaned, as has the interior.
An absolutely characterful vintage object in a great combination of materials.
