Strong cavalry sword with Walloon type mount, probably from Central Europe, from the 17th - 18th century. Brass frame with pommel in the shape of a lion's head with short mane. Guard with 2 branches with joint arch connecting the pommel. From the main branch branch off into 2 secondary branches carrying a pair of balls in the middle. Fuze covered with a twisted brass filigree and a quillon curved towards the blade. Full bivalve type deck with a thumbscrew. 77 cm curved blade with flat back and dorsal gutter. Single-edged blade with 20 cm counter-edged point. This blade is engraved on both sides in the first third of Ottoman or Central European warriors, a moon and decorative motifs. Without sheath.
