A Medieval bronze seal of a pair of birds either side of a tree or flower.

English, 14th century.

Measures 3 x 1.9 cm.

Weighs 7.65 grams.

The inscription appears to read Inscription of ‘SIGILLVMS — EER — ETI’, the letters from the second ’S’ may have been intended to read ‘SECRETI’, which would translate as ’Secret Seal’.

Pendant loop to the reverse.
