"“return From The Fields” Moses Levy (1885-1968)"
Magnificent impressionist painting by Moses Levy (1885-1968) which represents a return from the fields in Italy, at sunset. An outstanding colorist who knew how to create this very particular atmosphere of late 19th and early 20th century paintings, in the spirit of Henry Moret, Armand Guillaumin or Ferdinand du Puigaudeau. Then, this painting is extremely well dated: 1906, which represents a youthful work for the artist who was then 21 years old when he painted this painting with such talent. Finally, this painting comes directly from a family where it was acquired in the 1910s, which makes it a very rare piece. This oil on canvas is mounted on panel
