Circa 1805-1810 France A width of bordered silk satin, drawing by Louis-Jean-François Lagrenée, official painter of the First Empire. Sky blue mottled satin background with large wheels bordered with silver cream-colored twill woven obliquely. Complete strip of its edges presenting an abrach, difference in color in warp weaving, as on carpets. Soft and resistant fabric to use for First Empire decoration. No flaw. Very good state of color and conservation. Dimensions: 300 cm x 62 cm.
