Bouillon, Frankenthal 18th Century.

Artist: Joseph Adam Hannong
This small porcelain broth, polylobed in shape, presents two cartridges painted in manganese shades of combat scenes, the white background is decorated with golden fillets and arabesques. It bears the mark of Joseph Adam Hannong, son of Paul Hannong, who owned the famous Frankenthal factory from 1759 to 1762. In excellent condition, it was originally fitted with a lid which has not reached us. Slightly ovoid, it measures 11.2 cm by 10.4 cm and 6 cm high. It bears the mark of the Manufacture de Frankenthal on the reverse.
