PICHET pewter baluster with pedestal, flared throat and tasseled thumbscrew.
Hallmark of Nicolas BOISSEL received master before 1750: salting pot / lilies / palms / NBS
Height: 30.4 cm.
CAUDEBEC-EN-CAUX, Second half of the 18th century.
Good condition
The symbol of the hallmark, a salt pan, evokes Saint Nicholas, therefore the first name of the master.
An identical pitcher is kept at the city's Municipal Museum.
Let us recall in passing that these pitchers were the wine measures of the Ancien Régime.
