From 1969, his “Imaginary Machines” were created. Extract from the press: “RN belongs, with Picabia, Duchamp, Ernst and Tinguely, among others, to a group of artists who chase away the delusions of machines. What was initially supposed to help us was gradually supplanted by man, and by Roger Nellens. the machines lose their aggressiveness, he illustrates their poetic dimension and has thus constructed a very personal iconography.
