"Max Le Verrier (1891-1973) Bronze Sleigh With Secret Compartment, Circa 1925"
Rare and Superb sculpture representing the diminutive of an 18th century style sled, in bronze and Marked “Towards the Year 1740” signed Max LE VERRIER, in the shape of a conch with moving bow and secret compartment under the lockable seat. With rear driver's seat in the form of a harness as well as metal shoes to place the feet. Hooks on either side of the seat to insert the guides. Interior seat in trompe l'oeil upholstery and exterior in trompe l'oeil mulch. Period around 1925
