"Henry Deziré (1878-1965), Still Life"
Oil on canvas early 20th century, representing a bouquet of flowers on an entablature. Post-impressionist school, treated with shades of cream colors and a pointillist approach. Painting signed upper right "Deziré". Good condition. Very simple baguette frame. Dimensions: 100 / 81 cm Henry Déziré: Henry Déziré student of William Bouguereau, he joined the Académie Julian then the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1899. He set up his workshop in Montparnasse and made his debut at the Salon de la Société des Artistes Français in 1904 then at the Salon d'Automne from 1908 before being exhibited in the Durand-Ruel gallery. Today we find some of his paintings in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in Paris and the Georges Pompidou center.
