JAPAN - Edo period (1603-1868) Circular, slightly conical Jingasa, in matte black lacquered wood decorated with three mons of the Kobayakawa clan in gold lacquer (accidents and slight restorations). Thehen no ana (opening at the top) in three-stage copper. The matt gold lacquered edge. The glossy black lacquered interior decorated with two opposing chilongs (accidents). Silk chin strap secured by small suede leather cords. Dimensions: 6 x 42.5 x 42.5 cm Sold with the base. Dimensions with base: 61 x 42.5 x 22 cm.
