There is a sketch on the reverse which he repainted white.
Painting in good condition, note some wear over time.
Beautiful, astonishing painting in an Art Deco style very typical of the 1930s.
Henri Levasseur was basically a sculptor and here in this painting we feel the influence in his way of sculpting his characters.

Student of Emile Thomas, Eugène Delaplanche.
