French school, "Venus and Cupid", large oil painting on canvas from the late of 19th century.The painting depicts a young Venus looking at herself in the mirror supported by a child Cupid near a herm in the shape of a faun. The colors are soft and delicate as is the scene.
The painting is in a very good state of conservation, It has no restorations, tears or discolouration. It has its original gilded wooden frame which shows small signs of aging.
