Beautiful French 19th century Orientalist clock in gilded and patinated bronze, representing Ibrahim Pasha, Gold Medal – Pons 1827
Very nice quality of casting with amazing details in the Pasha's tunique for instance. The movement with the pastille "Pons, Médaille d'Or – Pons 1827" See the print entitled "Ibrahim" for the manufacture of the clock, depicting the son of Méhémet Ali of Egypt, invader of the Morea, Paris, BnF, Cabinet of Prints.
