"H.w Koekkoek: General Kuroki Tamemoto"
A superb portrait of the Japanese commander, Count Kuroki Tamemoto (1844-1923), by H.W. Koekkoek. The drawing was published in The Illustrated London News on June 4, 1904. (see attachment). Koekkoek worked for this magazine from 1903 to 1919 and made many drawings. During these years he lived in London.
