Very beautiful copy in 12 format, full speckled sheepskin, ribbed spine decorated with gilded irons on the rosette, red morocco title, marbled endpapers, red edges. Printed in Paris at Etienne Ganeau, bookseller rue Saint Séverin, in Saint Louis, & at Armes de Dombes. 1750. This very complete copy of its 8 folding plates at the end of the book is an important treatise on the microscope by Mr. Needham, of the Royal Society of London "Les Nouvelle Observations Microscopices", with interesting discoveries on the composition & decomposition of organized bodies , with figures A precious work and a reference to the 18th century on this subject of science which developed considerably under Louis
