Superb and exceptional polished Malachite and Chrysocolla stone from the Star Mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is mounted on a 9.7 x 9.7 cm base, custom-made in metal on an axis composed of four arms with small support claws. This stone is the result of the intriguing fusion of two minerals, green malachite and blue chrysocolla. Harmonious blend forming a superb gem varying between green and turquoise blue. Chrysocolla is formed in an environment rich in copper and silica, while malachite is generally formed by the action of solutions rich in copper on carbonate rocks.
