Oscar Torlasco is an Italian designer (born in Rome, 1934-2004) and has designed for many Italian lighting manufacturers, including Lumi, Esperia, Stilnovo, Reggiani and Stilkronen. During his career, he was rewarded with a “Compasso d`Oro” in 1959 for his “Genova 4053” lighting (ADI Design Museum in Milano). His work was often characterized by its minimalist and functional aesthetic, as well as its use of high-quality materials. His designs are considered outstanding examples of 20th-century Italian design, and are exhibited in design museums around the world. Electricity works with a white switch on the terrace.
