Large oil on canvas representing a bouquet of lilacs in a vase, and a bouquet of pansies in a wicker basket. Signed upper left FURCY de LAVAULT. Thibule Marie FURCY de LAVAULT (1847-1915). A student of Savarin in Bordeaux, he began his career as a portrait painter, but quickly specialized as a flower painter. Curator of the La Rochelle museum in 1882, he also practiced drawing and painting. Present in numerous salons in the south of France, he presented his works at the Paris Salon from 1880 to 1891. Numerous prizes and mentions. Museums: Pau, Saintes, La Rochelle Original canvas, stretcher and frame The canvas is in good condition, but restorations to the frame are required.
