*Paul Philippe is a French sculptor born in Berlin in 1870 and died in 1930.
He studied sculpture with Antonin Larroux. He executes subjects in bronze, bronze and ivory, marble and ivory.
In the 1920s his style was naturalistic.
His work is close to that of Claire Colinet, famous Belgian sculptor.
After the war his style evolved towards a more theatrical and geometric style.
His work is still highly sought after today.
