Caned Piano Stool By Jacob & Josef Kohn 19th Century

Very beautiful piano stool from the Viennese manufacturer Jacob & Josef Köhn. Entirely made of wood, it consists of a round, caned seat, inserted into a 4-star leg, thanks to a steel screw. This screw allows height adjustment to suit the pianist, and locks using an ingenious tightening key system. Solid and robust, it has acquired a patina over the decades, its color has taken on pretty shades and a wonderful shine. It is very solid and stable. The canework is in very good condition. The whole of course has traces of its long life, traces which give all its charm and authenticity. This stool is of excellent manufacturing quality, like all Jacob & Josef Köhn furniture, just like what Thonet did in France. The place for this stool is in a magnificent residence, full of character, and why not at the foot of a beautiful Bösendorfer grand piano...
