"Small 17th Century Oak Hosiery Cupboard"
Lovely little oak bonnetière from the 17th century. This LOUIS XIII period bonnetière comes from a castle kitchen in Périgord. It was used for storage or perhaps a pantry. Relatively rustic with straight legs, it opens with a door on the front made up of 4 panels. Paneling also found on the sides. There are 3 shelves. It was originally supposed to be entirely painted, because we find decorations of different colors on the inside of the door. We find on the outline of the panels on the east facade on the sides a red paint which was preserved during the restoration of this piece of furniture. The lock is in working order. Interesting piece of furniture due to its size. Height: 152 cm Depth: 51 cm with cornice Width: 72 cm Good general condition, usual restoration. (see photos) Delivery: contact us
