A fine set of 8 Georgian Hepplewhite style carved mahogany shield back dining chairs of good color and condition. With serpentine fronts, drop in upholstered seats, affording comfortable seating. This quality set of 2 armchairs and 6 dining chairs date from the early 19th century, displaying a desirable aged patina throughout. The shield backs with shaped arched backs, carved pierced vase splats and acanthus leaf detailing. All raised upon square section reeded front legs, gently splayed to rear legs, united by a H-stretcher. England circa 1830. The seat height is 46cm. The measurements of the armchairs are 58cm wide, 56cm deep and 95cm high. The measurements of the chairs are 52cm wide, 52cm deep and 95cm high.
