Elegant, early Biedermeier display cabinet or bookcase from southern Germany around 1820.

Light cherry wood veneered on softwood. Partly ebonized.
Ash burl veneer inlaid on the side pilaster strips and framed by plum wood band inlay.
Three glass panes with horizontal, cherry veneered intermediate struts.
Inside 4 shelves, covered with black fabric.
Original lock with brass key. Restored and hand-polished with shellac.
