They use sandstone and earthenware, the painted or relief decorations of which are applied according to the drawings of Simone Larrieu. Painter, pastellist, Simone Larrieu is a member of the La Palette association and a ceramic decorator. It is she who provides most of the decorations for the family workshop. Octave is an excellent sculptor, and he will also produce superb ceramic sculptures. Bibliography: Bordeaux Art Deco, by Jacqueline du Pasquier, Somogy Editions d'art, p. 98/99. Lifas / Alice Sordet-Bonifas (1902-1975) Superb and rare coffee service consisting of a coffee maker, a milk jug, a sugar bowl and an octagonal tray, therefore in earthenware covered with superb enamel turquoise color that she particularly liked. The shape of the pieces is emblematic of the Art Deco period, very cubist, the lid of the coffee maker is original, it fits into the body, in short a real success for the ceramist. Alice Sordet was therefore the wife of Bonifas, whom I no longer present, a famous ceramist of the Art Deco period, he mainly produced in Switzerland and Savoy; his wife greatly helped him and she herself created her own production which she signed from the contraction of Lise and Bonifas, or Lifas. These pieces are in very good condition, I just point out a few tiny chips on the edges and one on the spout of the coffee maker. All pieces are signed intaglio. Height of the coffee maker 18cm and diameter of the dish 33cm Price of this service alone: €130 OR Price of 2 pieces €380 of your choice
