Antique Italian Renaissance Bed

This fabulous antique Italian Neo-Renaissance bed is a stunning example of Italian decorative antiques, with intricate carvings of a bird on the headboard and an initialed crest which also sits on the footboard. The bed is solid wood in a dark mahogany. Made in Italy around 1820, this bed has a rectangular shape and measures 200 cm long, 175 cm wide, suitable for a King size mattress. The fantastic large lion's paw feet are a real statement to this sold and powerful bed. The headboard measures 198 cm, the footboard measures 112 cm. This original Italian bed is a fabulous hand carved antique, a very unique and rare find that will add character to any bedroom. It requires assembly and will require a slatted base. These can be purchased online or a couch base can be used inside the frame. It is a unique piece of furniture and a must-have for Renaissance style lovers.
