"Louis XVI Period Commode In Walnut"
Elegant Louis XVI period chest of drawers in solid walnut. Beautiful design quality, the thicknesses of the panels and sides are generous. The front crossbar as well as the feet are trimmed with cha d'elles and gaudrons. The side rails are cut out. This chest of drawers is surely a wedding gift, the marquetry on the top representing doves in a heart is proof of this. The patina is made with beeswax and the interior interiors are cleaned and glazed. This piece of furniture has survived centuries of adventures. Only small restorations were necessary.
